FC Dallas - Emerald Coast Director of Finance

DUTIES: Responsible for receiving and accounting for all monies of the organization. Implement and/or maintain the bookkeeping system and accounting processes required to provide a detailed set of records on income and expenditure. Responsible for all day-to-day bookkeeping and handling of accounts payable and account receivable issues. Maintain custody of all funds, securities, financial records and tax documents. Establish an annual operating budget to present to the board for approval. Keep accurate record of receipts, expenditures and budget. Pay out funds as authorized by the organization and deposit funds in organizational bank accounts as approved by the Board of Directors. Present a current statement of accounts to the organization upon call of the Board and perform other such duties as may be delegated. The Director of Finance shall be bonded in a manner and form acceptable to the Board of Directors within thirty days of election, and prior to assuming office. Publish a monthly and year-end financial statement. Submit an annual report of finances to the Board and club membership. File all reports to the appropriate government agency in a timely manner, including, but not limited to yearly income tax returns, not-for-profit and tax-exempt designations. Pay bills that are within the approved limits of the operating budget. Maintain a bank account(s) in the club’s name. Be one of the three persons, together with the President, Vice President authorized to sign checks.

TERM: 1 to 2-years

STAFF OPPORTUNITIES

FC Dallas - Emerald Coast Adult League Coordinator

DUTIES: Assist the Executive Director and Recreation Directors with planning, organizing, advertising, coordinating, and executing all operations supporting the Adult league.

Responsibilities include:

  • Season Planning
  • Coordinate Website and Sports Engine program set-up and updates
  • Scheduling practice space, as applicable
  • Scheduling games
  • Promotion/Marketing
  • Instructing the staff and coordinating internal communication
  • Tracking player and coach registrations
  • Organization of vendors and obtaining sponsors (as applicable)
  • Finalizing teams, schedules and mini-tourney
  • Ordering uniforms for coaches and players
  • Ordering awards for players
  • Painting fields weekly (or arranging to be done)
  • Arranging game officials
  • Organizing site facilities
  • Coordinates budget with Treasurer
  • Ensure all financial obligations are concluded in a timely manner
  • Document standard procedures for job position as well as a calendar year timeline of activities
  • Implementing the policies and rules of the season
  • Creating a positive tournament experience for the fans and participants
  • Resolving any conflicts amicably
  • Grow the Adult League
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with other leagues (Eglin AFB, FWB, Destin and others as applicable)


Qualifications

  • Experience in running an adult recreation soccer league preferred
  • Knowledge of the sport and event planning experience required
  • Good communication skills, strong writing and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of computers; word processing and email capability mandatory
  • Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, dependability and well-spoken
  • Self-motivated, require minimal supervision and strong leadership qualities
  • Must have initiative.
  • Working relationships with current soccer organizations, DOC's, Technical Directors
  • Provide functional area support as assigned by the President. Lead Board-established Committees, as assigned by the President, to accomplish specific priority tasks or projects.

DUTIES: Responsible for the planning, programming and operation of club tournaments

Responsibilities include:

  • Event Planning

  • Tracking team entries and team checks
  • Organization of vendors and obtaining sponsors
  • Finalizing game brackets
  • Communicating with teams
  • Arranging game officials
  • Organizing site facilities
  • Establish, follow and evaluate tournament budget
  • Responsible for the recruitment, scheduling and oversight of event volunteers
  • Responsible for all permits necessary for the event
  • Ensure all financial obligations are concluded in a timely manner
  • Document standard procedures for job position as well as a calendar year timeline of activities
  • Implementing the policies and rules of the tournament
  • Creating a positive tournament experience for the fans and participants
  • Resolving any conflicts amicably
  • Meeting predetermined goals that can include finances, attendance and number of participants
  • Other duties as assigned

COACHING OPPORTUNITIES


TITLE: Soccer Coach

LOCATION: Niceville, FL

EMPLOYMENT: Part time (7 to 12-month contract – negotiable)

SALARY: Commensurate with experience, qualifications and # of teams assigned

DURATION: 7 to 12-month, long term - performance based

CLUB OVERVIEW:

FC Dallas Emerald Coast is NW Florida’s Soccer Center of Excellence and a primary provider of soccer opportunities for youth across the Emerald Coast region. We support kids aged 4-18 with a wide range of abilities between our recreational, academy and competitive programs. Our club provides excellent learning and character-building experiences for youth and has a broad impact on the local economy. The club has a growing membership of approximately 340 players.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Teach the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game.
  • Teach life skills through the game such as teamwork, accountability, and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • USSF “C” or USC (NSCAA) equivalent Preferred
  • USSF “D” or USC (NSCAA) equivalent Required
  • College or professional playing experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience coaching at the youth level.
  • Excellent communications skill
  • Experience coaching and/or teaching children in a group setting.
  • Education and/or certifications for teaching and coaching kids.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and patient with children
  • Must own a cell phone

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Criminal Background Check or willingness to begin application
  • Must be aware of current first aid procedures and preferably be First Aid/CPR qualified
  • You must have valid work authorization
  • You must have your own transportation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Able to perform moderate physical activity to demonstrate drills and interact with kids.
  • Able to Lift up to 45 pounds
  • Availability to work during week day evenings and/or weekends.
